To open the year 2026, the Île-de-France Region brought together 1 200 institutional, economic and cultural personalities at the regional headquarters for a greeting ceremony redesigned as a collective experience. The ambition: to promote ten years of regional actions while honoring young people in the Île-de-France region, a symbol of the future of the territory.

An institutional ceremony transformed into an artistic and collective experience, where young people from Île-de-France came to embody on stage the transformations of the Region and its ambitions for the future.

The Unexpected Idea
Transforming an institutional vow ceremony into Scene for the living expression of the territory, where young talents from Île-de-France embody the major transformations of the Region.
Rather than a purely institutional speech, the evening was thought of as a collective narration, combining speeches, artistic performances and images.
It was deployed in three highlights:
1/ An immersive welcome
As soon as they arrive, the guests discover a transformed building: a monumental video mapping adorns the facade of the regional headquarters all evening.
Inside, artists from the Expressions Urbaines collective invest the spaces while wandering, creating living paintings in the corridors and stairs.
In the hall, the young pianist from Île-de-France Guillaume Benoliel (11 years old) opens the evening with a piano solo, offering a suspended moment that embodies the artistic future of the territory.

2/ A reinvented institutional sequence
In the hemicycle, four main themes — transport, youth, environment and high schools — structured the sequence.
After each speech by the President, Valérie Pécresse, young talents from the Region came to extend the subject through forms of artistic expression: eloquence, slam, poetry or theater.
Among the highlights:
- A slam performance by Mélanie Décaille,
- collective reading of the poem Liberté of Paul Éluard,
- The fence by the Sauvage and Clandestine Choir, with a cover of La Marseillaise.
3/ A festive and creative evening
The ceremony continues with a lively cocktail where guests discover several experiences:
- performances of Breakdance and urban arts
- live artistic creation by the urban artist West LED
- instant portraits taken by AI robots
So many proposals that highlight the creativity, diversity and energy of the Île-de-France region.

Heritage
Beyond the ceremony, the event leaves:
- a powerful moment of coming together for local actors
- increased visibility for young talents from the Île-de-France region
- a modern and creative image of the institution
- a collective memory around republican values: freedom, equality, fraternity
